Well once again we have started a new year of school. This is a pretty big year for several of our kids. Michael is not only a senior this year but he is an 18 year old senior, which leads us to a little fear. Fortunately, Mike has a pretty good head on his shoulders so we feel he will be okay with all of the scary possibilities this could entail. Maxwell is up for a tough year. He has a schedule that has been hand picked for him. It's quite a load. It includes classes like Chem. Honors, Alg 2/Trig, and Spanish 3. He seems to be holding up pretty good so far he has 107% in Alg 2/Trig..lol. This is a big year for Andrya as she begins high school. So far it has been a little confusing. She auditioned for a place in the Chorale department and was asked to join Womens Select Choir (the highest you can be and rare for a freshman) but she also qualified for Advanced Art and Alg 1T. Sadly, she will have to pick one of these as they all happen in the same period. We still haven't figures out what we are going to do but she fits in very nicely at the high school seeing that she's not the tallest girl anymore. Luke is doing well. He has chosen to drop band. It was a hard thing to let him do but in the end I feel it is the best. He will have a Study Hall that period and I think that is important. Kennedy has made the transition over to Middle School fine. She is still in Orchestra and doing great. Her home room teacher is awesome and I think she will continue to do well. Kennedy is very resilient(sp?). That brings us to Jett-ski...my baby is now in Kindergarten...(sigh). He is doing great all though he is tired. They started school kind of different than I had ever experienced. He went on the first day of school for half day, he got to see the class rooms and such. But he didn't go back till the following Friday for a full day. Very different. Friday he got off the bus at 4:00 by 6:00 he was asleep and wouldn't even wake up for dinner. He slept through the night until 8:45 saturday...I guess you can say he is wiped out. This week has been tough on anyone near him. He is a bit honory. I guess that is to be expected. Well this is my one and only year with them ALL in school. I am not sure what I will do with myself...oh ya...I WILL CLEAN...pretty sad that cleaning makes me excited.
