It's been a long time since Iposted anything and I apologize. Our life, if possible, has been more crazy than normal. I think I left off in November sometime with the house stuff. The update on that is really nothing new. We have talked to a contractor about what we are going to do and wehave had to refigure it a couple of times. As we stand now we are waiting for the final quote to come in from him before we decide when we are going to do it.
At the end of November, Todd and I celebrated our 15 year anniversary by going to Ashville, NC to visit The Biltmore. We had a great four day weekend. We stayed in a B&B that was very lovely. It was only after we got there that we heard the tales of it being haunted so of course I did not sleep well at all. That stuff freaks me out. The first day we got there we had dinner at the Biltmore Inn Dining Room. It was a beautiful place and the food was good but a little stuffy for us. It was fun to dress up and feel elegant but honestly how people eat like that, and act like that everyday of their lives is beyond me. That night after dinner, we went to The Biltmore for the Candlelight tour. That was pretty cool. Everything was done up for Christmas and it was just beautiful. The next day, we went back to the estate for the regular run of the mill tour. This time we rented the headsets, I recommend the headsets to anyone going to The Biltmore. You learn so much more. You understand it better. Todd decided after our second run through the estate that we really needed to do the behind the scenes tour...lol. This from someone who really wasn't that excited to do this in the first place. So we did that tour and got to see all the hidden stuff. Like the places the servants lived and we learned how they were able to serve the family really without being seen. Very interesting. So after we toured the house three times in two days we were exhausted. The thirs day of our trip we got up and went to breakfast, rented a bunch of movies from Blockbuster and stayed in our room, in our bed all day. The last day really was just travelling home. We had a great trip and would love to go back to The Biltmore soon.
